RECENT GRADUATES OF NATIONAL UNIVERSITY BAGGED FIRST PRIZE (GOLD MEDAL) AT IPCKER

Two recent graduates of National University of Science and Technology, College of Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Industrial engineering  Ms Tasnim Mohammed Al Dawudi (student No 130943) and Salima Al Sudairi (130945) ) recently participated in the IPCKER (Innovation) organized by MEWIIN (Middle East Inventors & Innovators Network in Kuwait) in Muscat on 27th November 2021.  They have presented their project work titled “Ecofriendly Oil based Muds for oil and gas industries”.  This is the continuation of their undergraduate project supervised by NU staff Dr A M Saravanan. 125 Participants from all over the Middle East countries have participated and among them Ms Tasnim and Ms Salma have bagged gold medal award with the cash prize of 5000 USD. The alumni’s will further participate in the second of competition which is to take place on 2nd December 2021 along with the other scholars who have won in the competition.  The idea of the project is to convert the date seeds into drilling fluids to enhance the extraction of crude oil by providing more economical and environmental friendly product.
